Working Procedure of Sewing Section

Purpose:
To ensure that:
    • Production & service activities are planned and carried out under controlled conditions.
    • Processes are validated.
    • Products are suitably identified & traceable through the product realization.
    • Preservation of products is maintained to ensure conformity with requirements.
Scope:
This procedure is applicable to all activities related to product from production planning through all activities till storage & packing of products.
    
Responsibilities:
·         Documented in the procedure.

Procedure:
  1. When order received from buyer planning team make a plan for the order & according to the order all the material like fabric, elastic, trim etc.
  2. Once new style comes sample work-study is responsible to do the operation breakdown & handover to production work-study.
  3. Production work study officer is responsible to make lay out.
  4. Before pp meeting supervisor is responsible to collect all information from sample department & he has to make sample with the help of technician.
  5. Planning department arrange PP meeting 3 days before of line input, when 80% material become in-house. In some special case PP meeting is done according the top management decision. During PP meeting all the instruction, critical quality points, layout sheets are discussed with the relevant departments. During PP meeting Buyer sample is match with the  supervisor sample.
  6. If any skill is no have in the line for any critical operation supervisor is responsible to trained operator with the help of technician.
  7. After PP meeting mechanic arrange the machine according the lay out given by IE dept.
  8. Production officers are responsible to give requisition for material in cutting & store according MO sheet.
  9. Supervisors bring all materials from store matching with the trim card.
  10. Once machine arrangement finish mechanic correct the machine along with the technician & quality. When operator will make 5 pcs garments, quality will check the standard if not achieved all should work together to correct that.
  11. During line feeding quality make mock up system, hang a production sample & approved swatch in front of the line.
  12. When first output comes quality arrange a first output meeting with production people, technician & mechanics etc. In that meeting buyer sample is match with the 1st output & keep records.
  13. When bulk production starts production supervisors make hourly production reports which is monitored by production officers. Quality peoples make hourly report which is checked by quality officers.
  14. Operators is responsible to maintain bundle system.
  15. Production supervisor is responsible to maintain flag defect record.
  16. At the end of the line TQI is doing 100% inspection of the garments, LQI strictly follow the traffic light system.
  17. If any operator gets red in any process during production for bad quality production supervisor, technician, quality officers all together is responsible to recover that process.
  18. To solve machine problem, line balancing problem, quality problems are responsible persons are mechanic, work study, quality officers & technicians.
  19. After the inspection of TQI, AQL officer do the random inspection, if AQL fails ,TQI is responsible to recheck whole bundle.
  20. After AQL pass every hour production supervisors handover their production in to counter & keep records.
  21. End of the day production supervisors submit their production report to the reporter & that production report is checked by production officers & floor in charge/APM.
  22. Based on that report production reporters make daily production report & send it to the senior management & give oracle entry of daily production.
  23. Quality people submit their reports to quality department & QC department keep record of them.
  24. Based on the production, present manpower, working hour IE dept make efficiency report & send to all senior management as well as merchandisers.
  25. Once PO finished supervisors has to return all the remain accessories, trim & other things to store & prepare for next PO or next style.
  26. Style closing report has to make at the end of the PO/Style.
  27. Production officers are responsible up to shipment.
