Check List in Exhaust Dyeing for Reactive Dyestuffs
Check Exhaust Dyeing and the hardness of water with Test-strips Hardness and the Bicarbonate with. You can read about Safe Chemical Handling Procedure and PolicyMethyl-Orange + HCI Test
- Check the Hardness from the salt with Test-strips Hardness and NaOH Test
- Check the concentration of NaOH you will use to dye ( if different, make a conversion )
- Check the recipe calculation for the Reactive dyestuffs and for the auxiliaries
- Control the workman :
- If you give to him g/l amount, He has to use a balance ( to measure a weight )
- If you give him cc/l amount, He has to use a cylinder or pipette ( to measure a volume )
Check on the good :
- the pH with pH test paper
- the hardness with Hardness test-strips
- the Peroxide residual with Peroxide test-strips ( if just bleached material )
- If the total amount of hardness from the water, the salt and the material is more than 10°d,
Try to reduce it :
- For the water : Increase the Ladiquest 1097
- For the salt : Change salt to good quality
- For the material : Make a Acid scouring
- If it is not possible, try to Exhaust Dyeing with the Only Soda ash method
- If the total amount of hardness from the water, the salt, the material is more than 10°d :
- In according with the temperature method, add at the beginning, or by pre-metering
- (ADCON pump) the necessary amount of NaOH to neutralize the Bicarbonate
- Control the workman while he is weighing the Reactive dyestuffs
- Check the machinery :
- The dependability of thermometer
- The power of circulation pump (in package or spool dyeing of yarn goods)
- The speed of engine (in rope dyeing for knit goods)
- Check the Liquor Ratio during the Exhaust Dyeing
Remember :
It. Total amount of water - (minus)It. Water needed for the dyestuffs - (minus)
It. Water needed for the Alkali = (equal)
