Inspection Accreditor Duties
Purpose: To ensure and deliver right Assured Quality Levels of product / production as per the standards set by George through the AUTO inspection audits shipped at the right time.A recent worldwide study conducted by the ILO indicates that poor diet on the job is costing countries around the world up to 20 percent in lost productivity, either due to malnutrition that plagues 1 billion people in developing countries or the excess weight and obesity affecting an equal number of people in developed countries...
Key Strategic Accountabilities: To understand all elements of George quality, safety and packaging standards. To ensure all deliveries that are inspected meet the George quality and standards and that all deliveries that do not, are rejected, are not allowed to leave the factory without rework and re inspection through the AUTO process.
Key Operational Accountabilities
- To understand the George WOW (way of working), systems & processes.
- To plan 3 month Inspection schedule based on shipment advise from the merchandise team.
- To conduct final AUTO inspections based on order quantity following the standards and inspection policies/procedures/guidelines of George.
- Update the result of the AUTO inspections to factory supervisor and all rejected AUTO to be advised into George Technical and Merchandise teams.
- Prepare by PO monthly AUTO inspection reports
- To report directly to the General Manager only
- Good understanding of George, George customers and George quality standards.
- Good understanding of safety, critical, major and minor faults.
- Knowledge in the quality of products and manufacturing process.
- Technical knowledge on garment construction and workmanship.
- Have a good idea about colour and fabrics.
- Skills in interpersonal communication – especially English and computer software.
- Strong planning and execution skills
- Clear, confident and professional
- Honest, integrated and hard working.
- 2 years experience in Quality Assurance job

Product
The
ILO report argues that this is a “missed opportunity” to increase both
productivity and morale within the workplace. Canteens, when they exist,
typically offer unhealthy food, and little choice of what to eat.
- Ensure all deliveries are all taken through final AUTO process following George Quality Standards
- Ensure all deliveries that do not meet the George Quality Standards are rejected and do not leave the factory.
- Awareness of new legislation and health & safety standards/amendments
- Ensure production standards are consistent across factories and products and comply with the George standards
- Manage inspection schedule so that all deliveries are meeting the required shipment date.
- Update monthly PO report giving details of all deliveries inspected and the results
Conversion
Workers sometimes have no time or place to eat and no money
to purchase food. Providing healthy food at work is the best way to ensure that
workers eat at least one healthy meal per day. Clean drinking water, an often
overlooked issue in nutrition, is also considered important to production.
- Detailed AUTO reports given to the Production Manager
- Late delivery reports to be given to relevant personnel
- Team Work
- All relevant information must be delivered to the George Production Team or to the Garment Technologist at George Office.
