Manufacturers of sewn products will recognize and respect the right of employees to exercise their lawful rights of Freedom association policy and collective bargaining. As per Labor Code 2006, Section 176, Worker & Employers without distinction whatsoever, shall have the right to form trade union primarily for the purpose of regulating the relations between workers and employers or workers and workers or employers and employers and subject to the constitution or the union concerned, to join association of their own choosing without previous authorization...

Unlawfully interfering with workers ability to exercise their right to associate or join legal organizations of their own choosing. Now a day it is very common discussed and considered as buyer’s requirement. To keep the legal requirements effective in the administration and management policy, buyers considered the trade union and freedom of association might play a valuable role. Threatening, disciplining, punishing, or firing workers because they exercise this right.

Company Policy

Refusing to hire workers because of their associations. AUTO KNITTINGS LTD recognizes and respects the right of employees to exercise their lawful right of free association and collective bargaining. Worker has full freedom to express their legal rights and feelings about the working condition and management system. They are not prohibited to form any legal Trade Union according to factory law. Affirmatively seeking the assistance of state entities to interfere with this right.


Participating in ‘’blacklisting’’ of union organizers by providing their names and details of their activities to other employers, or to employers associations.Authority does not discriminate against employees who form or participate in lawful associations and collective bargaining as well as does not illegally discrimination against employees who chose not to join any association or bargain collectively. Authority believes that mutual understanding will make a good relationship between management and worker and it will increase productivity and to achieve a definite goal. For this purpose, authority has formed a committee by workers and management representative called “Worker Welfare Committee”.

Objectives of the Committee:

When attempting to form a union, workers are not  permitted  to :
  • Coerce other workers to join a union participate in organizers activities; To work as coordinator between management and workers.
  • To improve better understanding and communication between management and workers.
  • To deliver the information about legal rights, complains, problems of workers to the management in a formal way.
  • To discuss with management about health and safety conditions and suggest the management to improving the condition.
  • Engage in organizing efforts that intimidate other workers. To fulfill production targets, reduce production costs and wastes, and raise quality of products.

Forming the Committee:

  • Engage in organizing efforts in a manner that interferes with other workers ability to perform their duties, except under legally recognized work stoppages; Advocate union organization in a time, place or manner that interferes with individual workers right not to participate in union activities; The representative of the workers shall be elected by the workers election.
  • The committee will have 11 members, where at least 80% member will be from workers.
  • Every member shall be elected by employee.
  • Authority will appoint an election commissioner for conduct election.
  • Election procedure should be conducted in voting way.
  • The committee will be continue to function their activities till one year and next election will be held within the period of 30 days prior to the date of expiration of the fixed term.

Activities of the Committee:

  • Worker Welfare Committee will be aware about the mutual rights and responsibilities of both management and workers.
  • Worker Welfare Committee will develop and improve mutual understanding and reliability between management and workers.
  • Worker Welfare Committee will keep close relation with workers and management.
  • Worker Welfare Committee will spread message to workers about the company’s rules and regulations as per local law.
  • If any problem or industrial dispute arises, Worker Welfare Committee will find out the solution by mutual discussion.
  • Worker Welfare Committee will encourage the workers to develop factory’s working condition, productivity, quality and will provide guideline for that.
  • Worker Welfare Committee will make good relation with workers. They will listen in their problems with patience and will send the message to the top management through monthly minutes of meeting.
  • Worker Welfare Committee will organize a monthly meeting with records of the minutes and will show it to management, as well as one copy of minutes of meeting should be exhibited on the bulletin board.

Condition of Worker Welfare Committee:

  • Factory must have written policy that recognize and respect the right of employees to exercise their lawful fights of free association as well as effective procedures and practices to ensure compliance. The policy must confirm that facility will not discriminate against employees who form or participate in lawful association.
  • The objective, conditions, rules of formation such committee and the responsibility of such committee will be displayed in a visible place.
  • Authority will be discussed with workers during workers training and workers will be encouraged to contact with WWC for any problem or any suggestion.
  • The formed committee’s members name and photo will be displayed in a visible place.
  • No affiliation with any trade union, employer’s federation or political party.
  • Management will not deduct any wages from the member’s time record for participating WWC activities.
  • WWC will deliver the minutes of the meeting of WWC monthly meeting.
  • Coerce management to accept agreements advocated by workers or unions; WWC must abide by the company’s administrative rules and regulation and train the worker same.
