RESPORTS TO: MAINT ENGINEER / MAINT. OFFICER/ Maintenance Executive

RESPONSIBILITIES. (Authority and accountability for people, plant / assets, money.)

Supervises: A team of six (9) technicians consisting of Maintenance

Supervisor – 1, Mechanic –1, Asst. Mechanic – 1, Electrician –1, Asst. Electrician – 1, Fusing

Machine Operato-1, Boiler Operator – 1, Unskilled Technician - 1

Plant / assets:

Preferably attached to the Cutting Room. Twin Needle Lock Stitch – 8
Five Thread Over Lock – 20
Four Needle Chain Stitch – 2
Button Hole Machine - 3
Buttoning Machine - 3
Bartag Machine – 6
Feed of the ARM –2
Blind Stitch Machine – 1
Loop Making Machine – 1
Fusing Machine - 1
Snaps Attaching Machine – 4
Cloth Cutting Machine – 3
Thread Suking Machine – 1
Auto Carton Strapping Machine – 1

Duties and Responsibilities

Fusing machine computerized with ability to control, temperature, time & pressure. Chief Mechanic Job Description To render repairs at most accuracy and precision on order to minimized unfavorable results
Recommended fusing conditions of interlining supplier available on site. and at the same time minimize the number of waiting minutes
To maintain the required lubrication on all types of machines on designed lines
To fix and repair all defective accessories and attachments upon notice
To maintain the Cleanliness of all machines and accessories at all times
To replace all missing spare parts on machines, machines tables, accessories and
attachments upon notices.
Never to allow dismantled machines or machines with missing parts in their designated lines.
To use only the correct attachment, accessories as described in the description or per advice from head supervisor/quality control/work preparation. To use only the right needle system (needle types) basing on the stock list.
To follow always the formulated rules and regulations of this company.
To report immediately to the engineering head the following:
Unavailability of parts accessories, attachment and tools needed in repairs
An excess of 4 machines stopped and waiting to be repaired in their respective areas of responsibilities
Fusing control records and bonding test samples available on site. All repairs that will last more than 30 minutes.
Any breakdown that will disrupt the production flow.
To submit a daily report on all daily accomplishments and issue minutes by sing the “mechanics daily rport“.
To maintain always a clean and neat working environment.
To take charge of the maintenance of all vario-stop motors in respective areas of responsibility.
Panels not fed directly on fusing machine belt, to prevent soiling and distortion. Daily Machinery’s inspection with reporting.
Daily repairing works follow-up with reporting.

Well ventilated with comfortable working temperature and sufficient lighting. Electrical works follow-up.
Scheduled maintenance with reporting.
