REPORTS TO: GM (P) / PM / AM (QC & A)

Subordinate : Quality Controller 

RESPONSIBILITIES. (Authority and accountability for people, plant / assets, money.)

Supervises: Whole Factory for Quality.

Plant / assets: NIL

Money: NIL

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Fabric inspection machines must be of a suitable standard, including lighting that allows the process to be carried out effectively. All machines must be regularly calibrated and records and samples must be retained to demonstrate this. Providing Supervision to entire Department.
  • Arranging wash test and shrinkage observation before cutting.
  • Random inline checking.
  • Responsible for making “ Internal Final Inspection Report’’ before shipments
  • To ensure quality sewing section, cutting section & finishing section. 
  • To have statistical data of different kinds of defects what had occurred before.
  • To find out the route causes of defects & problems.
  • To take corrective & preventive actions against problems & defects.
  • Responsible for any kind of recheck and style mistake.
  • Responsible for defect percentage which is more than the acceptable limit.
  • Responsible for any kind of claims/ complaints from buyers regarding quality.
  • Responsible for measurements ensure and pattern correction.
  • Responsible styling approval after first production.
  • A minimum 10% of the delivered quantity must be inspected to demonstrate compliance to the ‘Buyer Approved Bulk Submission’ Internal documents control.
  • To inspect the garments according to the style.
  • To ensure the quality according to the requirement.
  • To inform the operator (process wise) about the defects.
  • To keep record of defects.
  • Responsible for reworks caused due to quality defects overlooked by the inspectors.
  • In-house testing on every batch for colour fastness, shrinkage and where necessary, spirality where facilities are provided. As required to perform the specified job summary.

Check List

  • The moisture content of all yarns must be checked against specification using a calibrated Moisture Probe Fabrics inspection:
  • Fabric should be inspect following 4 points system
  • Fty should make 100% shade band/ blanket.
  • Factory has to segregate the fabric actual dye lot wise.
  • Shrinkage test 100% (Defend on fabrics & buyers)
  • Has to check the running shading color wise lot wise by making head ends.
  • Factory has to submit the shrinkage test report to pattern section for up date the pattern.
  • GSM has to check at list 10% rolls covering all the dye lots.
  • Accessories Inspection:
  • Have to follow the AQL 2.5 for quality. if defect percentage is higher than excess ordering fty needs to plan corrective action immediately
  • 100% for the qty .The inspection process must be to an established inspection standard such as the ‘4 Point System’. 
  • Issue the completed I.C, to factory
  • Submit commercial document to Buyer station Q.A
  • Inspection report should submit
  • Records of the above inspection and testing must be maintained. Packing list
  • If any release document should submit

Participants- factory Q.C Manager, QC, related Merchandiser, Production manager, line chief, supervisor, and cutting master, finishing in charge, Mechanic, fabric inspector, Store representative, washing in charge & any other related persons.
  • Review the approval comments & file.
  • Final approval sample (PP)
  • Final size sets comments
  • Risk Analysis: During PP Meeting product risk analysis is being discussed in detail by Buyer QC ith Factory production team.
  • Risk analysis is being done for all styles before starting bulk.
  • Review the final Embroidery & print strike off approval.
  • Consumption approval for bulk cutting.
  • Fabric inspection report
