AUTO KNITTINGS LIMITED is committed to ensure the Worker Welfare Policy aspect of each worker working in the facility. Therefore, the company has adopted a policy and provides welfare service free of cost to workers. The company has formed a
Worker Welfare Committee which consists of volunteered participation of all level of employee.
Work-related facilities are often ignored. Who cares about
toilets, first aid kits, lunchrooms or lockers? What do they have to do with
the hard realities of production? One answer is that workers care. The
essentials in your factory show very clearly whether an enterprise cares more
about its workers than its machines. Work dissatisfaction can be costly and it
can affect production. Additionally, welfare facilities include some issues

- Fatigue and disease are enemies of efficient work. Essential
facilities are more than just a legal requirement. They can do much to reduce
fatigue and maintain the health of workers.The committee meets once at least fortnightly to discuss and take some decisions about Worker Welfare Policy of the employees.
- Ensure that essential facilities serve their purpose For better motivation, factory shall provide Attendance bonus for skilled workers at the rate of 200 Taka and for unskilled workers at the rate of 100 Taka.
- Health is Wealth. Bad health affects the performance of every worker. Therefore factory shall provide free health facility to all workers.
- Company has taken safety plan for fighting any type of hazards (i.e. fire, natural disasters or industrial injury).
- In
order to minimise waste, each worker should have his or her own drinking cup
and must be encouraged to keep it clean. Company shall compensate any accident occurrence as per labor and factory law.
- Company provided pure drinking water facility in easily accessed place for all workers.
- Well equipped first aid box shall be provided in each floor and shall maintain by trained certified First-aider and certified nurse.
- Company has arranged a full-time medical service under the supervision of a qualified doctor for the treatment of all employees without cost.
- Company has provided general medicine for normal medical accident.
- Company has arranged a well-furnished canteen room for workers to take their food.
- Company has provided a male prayer room and a female prayer room for Muslim workers.
- Company has arranged a Child-care room for worker’s children below six years of age.
- During work-time, worker’s children can use such room (with a supervision of an experience caretaker) with all kinds of safe and clean facilities like milk, toys, baby rack, bed, etc.
- Company shall provide a picnic tour every year to create a better recreational program.(If u make this a policy then it has to be done every year)
- Being
able to move a short distance from the work station to get a drink relaxes the
muscles most in use and allows the worker to return to work refreshed by both
the drink and the exercise. Company shall pay maternity benefit to pregnant workers according to labor law.
- Company shall provide training facility for unskilled operator and helper.
- Company shall provide yearly increment for all employees every end of the year and as per factory law shall promote Apprentice to become Helper (Grade 7) or probably to a higher grade (depending on their performance, they could be under Grade 6, Grade 5, Grade 4, etc.) after completion of their 90-days working period and shall compensate accordingly.
- If any worker works in this establishment for more than the prescribed regular working hours in a day, they shall be entitled to allowance at the rate of twice of his basic wages.
- Factory shall keep close during holidays and shall provide a seventh-day rest.
- In
hot and humid climates, workers need to replace fluids as they sweat. But for emergency circumstances and factory needs to open, factory shall provide a compensatory Worker Welfare Policy to convert those days into holiday.
